Butler commands - Renaming a card with butler

Hey there,

we are currently more and more using trello and I am right at the beginning using butler.

My situation is following:

I have 2 versions of a card on different boards (copied and linked via butler) the copy of the source card is been worked on and due the process the name changes, as this happens I would like to have the name on the source card changed aswell.

I tried "for each card linked in attachments rename title to {cardname}" result was my copy was renamed instead of the source

When I use {sourcecardname} instead of {cardname} the source cards name gets empty at all

Any ideas?

Hi @info_solar24_gmbh ! Welcome to the community :) there are a couple of different ways to achieve this, but this should work for what you want:

when the name of a card contains "{*}", find the first card linked in the attachments, and rename the card to "{triggercardname}"
