We use Trello as a dynamic service dispatch board. I was experimenting and wanted to try to set up automations on a 4 month schedule to add a card automatically when the 4 month time comes back around. I set this up on a total of 12 clients and did this over the course of a week, around the mid to end of February. To my surprise, come March 1st at 7:30am all of the cards appeared in the Service Call list. They were supposed to show up in 4 moths. Below is the automation schedule:
every 4 months on the first working day at 7:30 am, create a unique card with title "PH Swap WDS" and description "This is auto generated card. Please contact the client first to set up a PM" in list "PageWide PH Swap List/PM" on board "Service Calls" and add the dark green "Printhead Swap/PM" label and add member @****** to the card and add member @******* to the card
So what went wrong and how can I get this to work correctly?
@BPIService I believe you need to specify in your rule when then the schedule needs to begin. It won't assume that the 4 monthly schedule should commence in 4 months from the date you created the automation.
Duh, so simple, how I missed this is beyond me. I started most of these tickets in mid-February so I created a new scheduled automation for each one (and will use that same method going forward). So on June 15th I will find out if this works! Thank you for the assistance.
