Good Morning Trellonians!

From what I can see I can not forward from e-mail to a specific list in a board.  So I was attempting to do an automation that says when a label in the Inbox column is X move it to another list.

I have team members who email me on a variety of tasks and I was trying to keep them organized by type of work.  So I have lists that are related to the specific work.  IE schedule, track, followup, check. etc..

I'd like them to me moved to a specific list that I can then automate those list to give me due dates, etc.

Stumped!

Hi @Daniellehalstead

When you get the to-email address for a board, there is an option to select the list the email will be sent to.

The limitation is that you can only pick one list for that email to forward to. Ideally, it sounds like you would want to select the list to send to at the time you are forwarding the email?

So for example, this email is related to Project X, so send it to the Project X list on my board. Then you could have automation rules in place to add due dates for your workflow.

If that is how you would like it to work, that would be good to know.

With the way things are today, you can configure your emails to go to list named Inbox, and add a label by adding #labelname in the subject line of the forwarded email (use underscores if the label is multiple words). Then set up an automation rule that is triggered by a card being added to Inbox and move to the list that matches the label.

Would that solve your issue? It sounds like you know how to set up an automation rule to add a due date when a card is added to a list but happy to help with that as well.

Cheers,
Beth
