Hi!
Not sure if this is possible or if I am just oblivious to an already existing automation, but my goal is to create an automation so that when a card is added to a certain list (whether that is by adding a card or clicking on a board button) that the person who performs that action is assigned to that card.
Obviously it's not difficult to add oneself to a card, but it would be nice to have one less thing to do when a card is generated from clicking on a board button.
Any thoughts?
@Joshua Moore hi there! you'll use the {username} variable for this! You can learn more about variables here, but I believe this is what you're going for.
You will need to create a new rule for each type of trigger (such as moving into a list, or clicking a button), but your action will look like this:
The {username} will access whoever triggers the action, ie moves the card, clicks the button, etc.
Amazing! Thank you! I love the variable resource as well. Gives you a lot more options to play with. Thanks!
