Automating Email Alerts for Cards Lingering on a Specific List for Set Durations

Is it possible to automatically send an email when  random cards have been on a list for a certain number of days? For example, if a card is on a specific list for more than eight days, an email is sent to me. The same is repeated if the card is still there after a total of 12 days.

@Mathias Tryk I can think of one way to do this, but there might be others. 

Using automation, create a rule that says when a card is added to the board (or you can say a specific list), set the due date to be in 8 days. 

And then make a due date rule that says "when a card is due, send an email to me with content {cardname} is due. View the card at {cardlink}"

(Something like that)

Would that work? 

You could also use Power-Ups like Card Age Badge that can help you visualize how long a card has been in your board, but as far as I know this doesn't send you an email.
