Automatically Link Two Cards

I have a list of cards that are projects and then I have a list of next actions that correlate to those cards. I would like to have the two cards linked. I currently have to copy the action card's link and attach it to the project and then copy the project's card and attach it to the action item's card. Is there a way to trigger the second step based on the first step? Thanks!
