Automated Emails to Customers

Ryan McClain July 20, 2020

Hello,

I am using Trello with my business partner to to keep track of steps and progress on orders for our small business. We have our board send up to move cards laterally between sections of steps to our process.

We currently use TeamGannt to schedule and keep track of progress which sends us emails frequently about scheduled tasks, due dates and assignments of resources. We are also looking into integrating JotForm (which we already use) for customer order requests.

We would like to look into something that could send automated/prewritten emails to our customers. Ideally we could put their email into the card (or even more ideally their JotForm request would bring it in to the card) and as the card is moved through our process, we could have three checkpoints that send emails automatically. The first being an acceptance of their order request. The second acknowledging that we have began working on their order. Thirdly, telling them their order is complete and we’ll be in touch shortly.

Hi,

You can try our powerup Hipporello for this purpose. Hipporello is a service desk with automation capabilities built for Trello users. You can enable your customers to create Trello cards via forms and emails. You don't use any other third party form applications like Jotform, google forms, or Typeform. You can associate automation rules for every submission and modification on the created card on Trello. For example, you can send an automated email to your customer when the form is submitted by your customer. And also you can send automated emails when the created card moved from one list to another one.

@Ryan McClain  This requirement is very similar to one I received from a company in NZ. Perhaps we can take this offline. Let me know should you be interested.
This demo shows the capabilities deployed to sense changes at board, list and card levels and on as many of these are you like. The subsequent automation options are numerous but for demo purposes new cards are created.
