I'm trying to add links to a specific card in a board but it's not letting me.
Here's what's happening,
Every time i create a new card through slack, I do not get the option of "attachments" or "conversations" or anything similar.
Then, if I try to paste a link and somehow integrate that into an already existing card, it's not letting me do so.
and these are the only options I'm getting
I need to be able to automatically add any attachments to new and old cards.
Please help!
Hey @Zarish Tahir – First of all, welcome to the community! So first things first, I'm afraid to say that, at the moment, you can't attach files from your computer to cards through Slack.
So if you'd like to see this feature implemented on the Trello app for Slack, you can use the command /trello feedback to give feedback to the team that has created the app, so they can be aware of what features are missing that you'd like to see available.
Alternatively, you can create cards on Slack from links, conversations, threads, and more. However, the error message you get when attempting to create a card from the GDrive links it's entirely new to me. Have you tried changing the visibility of the file on GDrive, pasting the link on Slack, and then trying to create a card from the link? I did some tests with my Slack integration with Trello, and I could create cards from links (including a GDrive link) as expected. Another thing you could try is checking if other links beyond GDrive links work. If none of the links work when you try to create a card on Slack, I'd recommend you fill out a ticket with us by clicking here.
