Hi,
My understanding of Trello Template Cards is that they work within a given Board - however not across boards. I have several cards I could use across multiple boards as such, let's call it global or top level template cards.
Is it therefore possible to assign a pre-existing template card across multiple boards?
Thanks
@slarcher There's no way to do this with Trello's built in template feature, but you could create a board called "Templates" and then create a Butler command on that board such that when you add a label to one of your template cards like "Target Board Name" a new card will be copied from that template into the "Target Board Name" board.
Morning @Iain Dooley ,
thanks that sounds like an interesting approach. I think creating an extra board for templates is an OK solution as long as they can be managed at one place.
Though would be interesting to have an option during template creation to apply template globally, current board or selected boards.
Thanks for your feedback.
Sam
