I would like to break up a project management board I have in place, by breaking it down into individual topics, and creating new boards for those topics. Is there a way I will be able to move the cards from the primary board to these boards? Or will I need to re-create the cards in the new boards?

Hi @Donna Harmony Jones ,

You do not need to move the cards. The board only shows the issue according the filter confjiguration. You can edit the board filter with the proper JQL query to show your cards.

Also, in the same board you can edit the filter to show cards from different projects.

Here you have info about how to edit the filter board:

Hi @Donna Harmony Jones ! Welcome to the community :) it is possible to move cards between boards. This can be done manually, or automatically through butler automation. A couple of examples of how it could work with butler if you wanted to automate it:

1. When the "X" label is added to a card, move the card to the "X" board.
2. Create butler card buttons for each topic. The idea would be when a button is selected, the card is automatically moved to the respective board.
