All internal Trello links no longer show URL only word "Trello"

A few weeks ago, suddenly all internal Trello links display the world Trello instead of the card URL. In card descriptions, I know I can manually edit this (although i wish I didn't have to like in the past). However, having a list of card URLs that now only displays the word 'Trello' is making lists debilitating to me.

Sometimes in a card description, some links are the URL and some are the word Trello *in the same description box* without manipulation.

Is this a setting I triggered? How do I fix it? Is it part of a new update? Please help - this has me nearly in tears and is the exact opposite of the efficiency I normally experience with Trello. I have used Trello for years and have never had anything except a URL appear when I post one in a card description or list.

Hi Gretchen! 

You can update your link preferences and it should resolve your issue.

1. First, click on your avatar in the top right corner of any page in Trello

2. Click on "Manage account"

3. On the new tab that opened, click "Link Preferences"

4. Under "Default display," change it from Display inline to Display URL. This change will make any new links you paste display as a URL by default.

• If you only want Trello links to display as URLs by default, then you'll want to edit the "Exceptions for specific domains" section instead. Add trello.com, select Display URL, and click Submit to save your change.
