Before 2023, I used to be able to print lists of my board via the Agile Cards - Print Your Board power-up for Trello. I have tried to print from old boards and new boards created since the start of the year and it doesn't load any pdfs/images after selecting my printing template(s). I find myself having to refresh my Trello app and even on the web browser it does the same thing and I have to refresh the page for the board to "work again".
I currently use Orah Apps Board Export which is nice but does not have enough customization like Agile Cards; specifically Orah Apps is missing the Print Page Sizing functionality.
Does anyone know if Agile Cards Print Your Board by Spartez Software is "actively working" within Trello? (Jira seems to have this power up as well..)
Any other power ups for printing to pdf/excel/word available for Trello?
We also used that print tool and have found "pretty print". It will print in a list format and not in the card format. But it has been very helpful.
Okay, this whole 'getting ghosted by a powerup' thing has affected my business as it has a bunch of other people. I've found a dirty work-around that solves it for me fairly well insofar as being able to print a bunch of cards on their own, individual sheets/labels. One good thing about the level of jank in my workaround is that it's flexible and can like be applied to any application you all have so I'll share the broad strokes.
You'll need Microsoft Office (Namely Word and Excel). I'm not sure if it can make made to work in Google Docs and Sheets because I'm not as familiar with those because I'm old.
The steps you need to do get all the cards you want to print information from into a dedicated list and then export the board to a .csv file. Open that in Excel, format as a table, and delete any rows (the whole row, not just clearing the contents) that you don't want to print. If you want the dates exported from Trello to be formatted correctly in Excel you'll need to Find and Replace with "T**:**:**.***Z" in the Find field, leave the Replace field blank, and hit Replace All. Save and exit.
Open up Word, and start making a template. Choose the page layout/size you want and get that all set up beforehand. I've had success laying these out these on Letter, Avery Arrayed Labels by fiddling with the page size and the pages per sheet printing settings, as well as various sizes of Dymo labels. Once you have that all sorted, go to the Mailings tab and pick Select Recipients and browse to the .csv file you saved in the previous paragraph. Then pick Insert Merge Field and select the Header name that has the information you want to be printed. Repeat as needed until all the information you want is formatted how you want it and save the template. You can hit Preview Results yo ensure everything is pulling through how you want.
Save this template in this state for future use. To print another batch, just point it to a new .csv file with Select Recipients again.
To print, it's a little weird if you've never used any of this before. Instead of going to File and Print like normal, you want to choose Finish and Merge in the Mailings tab. You get a special printing dialog that gives a few extra options to help cater to this sort job. How you pick through it depends on what exactly you're going for but you're well passed the hard part.
Like I said before, there's a ton of jank but this is way faster when you need to print a collection of distinct cards than copy/pasting the relevant info a ton of times.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the exported board includes detailed checklists. It just includes the number of checklist items and the number of completed checklist items. My company puts vital data into the checklists and that's part of the complication we're having! We need to be able to export and print the full checklists as part of each card. It's so frustrating that Trello doesn't have a feature like this built in for large scale exporting/printing!
I'm glad this work around is helping you though, and I hope it's able to help others as well!

Hi all,
Yes, we have made the decision to discontinue support for this Trello power-up at this time. Thank you to those of you who have suggested alternatives like Board Export for Trello, which might be a good fit for many of the use cases described in this thread.
We do continue to support Agile Cards for those working in Jira. If we can help you with this or our other supported apps, just let us know. Please know that we are listening to your feedback and will continue to evolve our portfolio of apps with you in mind.
Thank you for bringing this up to us,
Courtney Eiland, PMM

I emailed appfire directly (the makers of the Agile print powerups) and the response I got is so disappointing:
"Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused due to our decision to discontinue support for the app you are currently using.
We understand that this may not be the response you were hoping for, but we had to make some tough decisions to improve our offerings and ensure a better user experience for our customers."
I've seen answers from years past where Trello says they are primarily meant to be used on the web, so printing isn't something they will prioritize. I hope this changes with the downfall of this Print powerup! My company used this feature to save PDFs of our lists and manually archive them on our own server so we would never lose the data! How are we supposed to do this now?!
If anyone out there can develop a new feature to print lists (or export a whole list as a PDF), I hope they will act soon! My team is desperate...

Dear Abby,
we are facing to the same issue today since the "agile cards - print your board" app was discontinued.
Our company lives on "print card" feature and we need a way to print each card with custom fields, label, attachment and so on ...
Have you found a way or an app to do that ?
Thank you so much

Olá,
Também estamos enfrentando o mesmo problema, pois nossa empresa utiliza o "Agile Cards - print" com grande frequência. Não terá nenhum plug in que o substitua para uso?
Ao aguardo.
Obrigada

Thank you

Hi,
We are in the same boat today. Suddenly no print. We use this to produce job cards to go out on site with employees. Now what. No notice and no support. The formatting was important. Our entire business runs on it. Would have been happy to have paid for it.

Same issue here!
We used this power-up to print labels for our products.
Suddenly the option was not there anymore - and after a lot of searching the web - I found this string.
Cannot find any alternative power-up to replace it either.
Critical for us!

Same -- all of our work orders were color-coded to each employee. UGH. I am freaking out.

I feel like we all need to either reach out to AppFire directly and see if we can convince them to bring this back because there IS A NEED... Or find a Trello developer who can make something that accomplishes the same goal.
AppFire seems to only focus on Jira, so I think they've stopped supporting Trello altogether, which would explain why this powerup just fell apart.
If anyone knows any Trello powerup developers, or even knows who to contact within Trello, please let us all know. If they know there's a need for it, maybe someone will help us!

Hi all,
It appears that the Agile Cards - print your board Power-Up has been discontinued by the developer (AppFire).
While we aren't privy to the reasons for this, we understand this would impact your workflow.
We would suggest passing on your feedback to the Power-up developer: support@appfire.com. They may be able to suggest alternatives or reinstate the Power-up based on the feedback.

Buenas tardes
Necesitamos urgente una herramienta que permita imprimir tarjetas, como se hacia con Agile Cards.
Ojalá se restablezca la herramianta o desarrollen una nueva, estamos perjudicados.
Gracias !

My company has found a paid powerup that helps us with exporting whole lists (with full cards) as PDF's. We can select which fields we want exported, or just export all.
This might be helpful for people who need to print cards where you could export as a PDF and then print? It would be a pain to do the extra steps but it's the only solution I can think of at the moment.
The powerup we're using is Board Export by Kolekti. It's $7.50 per month. So far it has totally solved the issue we faced when we lost the Agile Cards Print powerup.

Hope this can help some of you!

I've found a workaround that's a bit janky but likely requires only software you already have. I've posted a detailed-ish explanation of the method as a top-level comment in this post.
