Hello,
While I do know that I can add custom images/emojis, what I'm not saying is how I can add emojis right onto my cards as I'm creating tasks? (Right now I'm copy/pasting from the Emojipedia site.) I looked this up and discovered the "Emoji and Markdown Everywhere in Trello" article; however, placing the name of the emoji between the colons, as described, didn't work. I must be missing something, and I'd love to have your assistance.
If you'd like to use native emoji (which you are if you're copy/pasting from Emojipedia), there's some keyboard shortcuts to pop open the emoji picker:
On Mac: Control + Command + Space (⌃
+ ⌘
+ Space)
On Windows: Windows Key + .
These shortcuts should pop open a emoji picker, and they are built into your operating system, so they'll work in any app, not just Trello!
The "emoji name between colons" works in certain fields in Trello, like the card description and comments. It does not work in the card name field, or the list name field, though.
Hope this helps,
Felix
Thank you, Felix, that does help about where that option works!
