Add a label every Saturday

I have a team board which is used to provide rolling weekly status to our manager.  Each org has a List and each project has a card.  Every week, each PM goes in and adds a high level weekly status into the Comment section of each cards.  Since this functions as a high level update for our manger, and not as a tracking board, we do not use due dates.

My manager would like to easily see who still needs to post their status for the week.  The easiest solution would be to create a rule that says "every Saturday at midnight, add the black "pending status" label to each card in the list xyz", but I can't see a way to use a day to be the trigger for adding a label.  Seems like this would be a simple item that a lot of users would find useful.  Is there a way to do this?

(Side note: moving cards to an "overdue" list has already been veto'd.  We want the cards to stay where they are and just provide an easy visual representation of when it is time to add a status.)

Hi @Dreamsuite Mike thanks for the input!  The overall goal is to give the team a visual cue as to which cards have an updated status for the week and which don't, along with making the status posting as automated and painless for the team as possible. What I ended up doing was 2 things:

1) Created a Card Button called Post Status that the individuals click after they've updated a card.  This button removes the black Pending status label and sets the due date for the next day.

2) Created a Due Date Command which says "on the Saturday after a card is due, remove the due date from the card, and add the dark black "Pending Status" label to the card"

I thought about having the users set a fake due date as you suggested, but with the amount of users on the board, I think leaving that up to the users would result in a ton of questions (and general grumbling) every week.  I also wanted to automate the removal of the Pending Status label so we could easily see on Wednesdays which status updates were still outstanding.

I'd still like to see Trello updated to make this more simple - add or remove a specific label on specific days without having to add in extra items which aren't needed.  Fingers crossed.

Hi, since moving to another list has been veto'd how about using a due date to do it (seeing as you don't use them for anything else.  The rule would be:

the moment a card the moment a card in list XYZ is due, add the black "Pending Status" label to the card and set due date the next saturday at 12:00 am
