Looking at solutions for GitHub integration requirements + task dependencies

Hi trello users,

We use trello heavily for project planning and I'd like to get some ideas on best ways to handle GitHub integration given the following requirements:

  • Tying multiple GitHub repos to the same board
  • Sync GitHub issues to the same board
  • Sync comments (PRs/Issues) to the same board
    • Both GitHub issues to trello and trello to GitHub issues

Also I'd like to be able to manage dependencies between both cards themselves and between different boards. I looked at GitHub powerup but it seems like for the initial card creation I have to manually initiate the process. Realistically I'd rather just have the whole thing automated. Let me know if you all have suggestions or anything else you might need to give a better answer. I also don't mind if there's a better overall solution that's not trello which might be better (though since we're using it know might be nicer to stick with what we have than switch).

@Chris White hey, you're probably a team of developers so you might like this thing I wrote which allows you to automate Trello quickly and easily with a "butler-like" syntax using Google Apps Script:

https://trello.com/integrations/#trellinator

You can see a "quick start" here, but there's a much longer "hello world" which includes command line testing and deployment best practises linked from the online documentation:
