Team Calendar doesn't synchronise in Outlook

I've added a Calendar to Outlook using the "Subscribe from web" option to point to a .ics URL.

I generated the URL from Teams Calendar using Subscribe and then either the "Microsoft Office (browser)" or "iCal" option and I've tried both the Outlook app (Windows) and web view.

The result is the same - the events all appear correctly immediately after I subscribe but any changes to those events in Teams Calendar are never updated in Outlook (I've waited many hours for a sync to happen).

Teams Calendar is being driven from a jql query, picking up at a date field in Jira - it works ok - I update a Jira ticket and Teams Calendar refreshes, albeit with me having to manually refresh Teams Calendar (I can't find what the refresh rate is and got bored waiting).

Thinking the jql part might be causing a problem I've manually added an event to Team Calendar through Confluence. After 7 hours Outlook still hadn't updated to show the event.

If I re-"Subscribe from web" all events are updated (new and any edits)... it's like I've imported the calendar rather than subscribed to it.

It has me stumped, has anyone got this to work so Outlook stays synchronised with Teams Calendar?
