Why are private pages only for employees?

Perry_Statham October 7, 2021

The https://www.atlassian.com/software/statuspage/private-pages description explicitly says that private pages are for employees to know what is going on. Why would we not want to use these for certain customer sets?

@Perry_Statham Status page is broken up into three different types of pages.

  • Public - Everyone can see
  • Private - Uses your company's SSO to allow access
  • Audience-specific - Grant access based on user groups

If your customers are set up on your company'ss SSO then they could use the private page.

@Brant Schroeder Is it possible to grant enteral customers access to Audience-specific Statuspage, who are not setup in company's SSO?

@Henry Sui - You would have to be able to add the users Atlassian account to grant them access so you would have to know what that is.  https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/what-are-audience-specific-pages/
