What to do with decommissioned components?

We have physical network gear that's being removed and no longer need the notifications from statuspage, but removing the component also removes historical data. 

Is there a way to remove the component and stop the notifications, but keep the historical data? 

Much appreciated!

Unfortunately, Jira Cloud does not (yet) support archiving components.
