Hi,
We got an outage alert but not in sequence order(first got an update outage message/body and then we got identified alert.)
Even text messages do not work correctly, sometimes get messages and sometimes don't get them.
Please let me know if any things require to do or if this is the behavior of the status page.
Thank you
Hello Kunwar,
Thanks for letting us know how you received messages out of order. Was the creation of the incident and the first update close in time to one another? Our goal is to ensure emails are delivered within a few minutes, and because we use multiple providers, it is possible that if updates were sent close together, they could be received out of order. It is rare but possible.
For us to know, I would recommend opening a support ticket with us.
In regards to the SMS notifications, there are two reasons why you potentially wouldn't get notifications:
1. We only send updates on the creation and resolution of the incident. Updates are not sent through SMS. Here is a matrix that shows when events trigger: https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/notification-event-triggers/
2. We don't support every country. Here is a list of countries we do have SMS support: https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/sms-delivery-supported-countries/
Hopefully, that helps with how SMS notifications work, but if you have other issues focused on SMS, we might need access to your numbers, so I would also recommend a support ticket be opened. I hope you have an excellent day!
Regards,
Jesse
