Statuspage.io redirecting to custom domain

Hi,

We have a example.statuspage.io that we have shared with our clients. 

Now we would like to setup a custom domain status.example.com, but in that case, what would happen to the existing example.statuspage.io domain?

Since our existing clients would still be accessing the example.statuspage.io domain, is it possible to redirect that to the custom domain?

Your existing domain would still remain intact for the custom domain being set up.
