I wam wanting to know how folks handle situations that the outage is beyond their control.  For instance, if you are hosted in Azure and they have an outage.  I don't want that outage to count against my uptime calculations.

Customer State?
Adjust the outage time on each incident?
or?  other solutions

thanks

Shawn

Hello There,
Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

What you can do is to add these services as 3rd party components, please see - https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/add-a-third-party-component/

In that case, your uptime is not affected, it'll be just shown on your page that there's an incident, but on the side of your provider.

In case you're not able to add a 3rd party component, then you can create a separate component, which will be for the 3rd party company that you use. Once it's down, you can set it yourself as degraded and then fix it when the initial incident is fixed.

Please let me know if it helps.

Best Regards,
Egor
