Hi,
I want to manage the PagerDuty app on Statuspage (e.g. edit rule for a PagerDuty service) using the Statuspage API. However, I cannot find it on the API document https://developer.statuspage.io. Is it supported?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Dat,
You can use Statuspage API for managing users, incidents, components, metrics etc. but not for interacting with 3rd party integrations.
With PD app, you can automate component status changes, create and/or update incidents etc. Check out our KB for more information on how to use PagerDuty integration and what are the possibilities:
https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/set-up-a-pagerduty-integration/
Cheers,
Nikola
Thank @Nikola . It is not what I expect, since I want to automate this integration process. Anyway, thank you for your answer. Hope the API will support it in the future.

Are there plans to support configuring the integration of 3rd party integrations (such as PagerDuty) via the API, @Nikola?
Considering the need to configure which services to forward and rules for elevating issues to partial outage or full outage for certain components it would be quite helpful to be able to automate this via the API, e.g. to orchestrate both pagerduty (or other integrations) and statuspage.io in tandem.

Hi Tim,
We don't currently have any plans to add this functionality to the API. I can make a feature request on this for you, however. Thanks for providing the use case on here. I will add that to the ticket that I create. I hope you have a great day!
Regards,
Jesse

Was the feature request created? We have the same requirement to automate the integration from PagerDuty with StatusPage, and for that, we would need to be able this API. Please let me know when you expect this feature to be available.
Thanks,
Vitor

Hey Vitor,
It is still being considered unfortunately but if it ever gets implemented, we'll be sure to let users know its available. Apologies in the inconvenience.
Best,
