Hi,
We would like to send maintenance notifications to our subscribed users several days before maintenance occurs, preferably manually but automatically also works in a pinch.
I saw an example from another statuspage user of an email sent out notifying a maintenance a few days in advance, but I have been unable to figure out how to do this via the UI when scheduling a maintenance. I'm fairly sure it's possible, but I am missing something.
Is there an Addon I need to use to schedule/send these messages? Is there a config option I'm not seeing? By default, it says "An hour before maintenance, notify users", can that be changed?
Thank you,
Nick
Hello Nick,
I am Jesse from the Statuspage support team and welcome to the community! For scheduled maintenances, notifications are sent when you create the maintenance on top of that reminder an hour before the maintenance.
If you look above the automation options, there is a button to send notifications. If that is checked, then as soon as you create the maintenance, it will send notifications out to the subscribers. This will be checked by default if you add any components to the maintenance.
If you need to send additional reminders, you can always update the maintenance but leave it in the scheduled status so that you can let people have additional notices. Once it gets close, the one hour reminder will trigger as well.
Hopefully that helps you out. If you do have any other questions about this, feel free to reach out!
Regards,
Jesse K
