Can I duplicate components under separate component groups?

My business is considering structuring our Statuspage such that the Component Groups represent different applications and the individual components underneath the groups represent the individual pieces of infrastructure that those applications depend on.

However, multiple of our applications are dependent on some of the same components. I'm wondering - if we repeat the same component in multiple component groups, will each of the duplicated components need to be updated individually during an outage? Or can the component be updated one time and that update will be reflected in each instance of the component under different component groups?

How would you recommend handling this?

Hi @Catriona Dick ,

No. Every component/subcomponent will work on its own regardless of naming the components the same. It will be seen as a separate sub-component although I believe your requirement makes a lot of sense.
