sourcetree is unusable after upgrade crashes immedeately

Stefan Müller September 8, 2022

Hi,

I upgraded my sourcetree and now I cannot work with it any longer. I updated MacOs, I updated python. I reverte to earlier versions of sourcetree.

Nothing helps.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Stefan

Found a solution elsewhere here:

OK, thanks to @Miro XY for this answer, I also have solved it...

Steps are:

  1. Uninstall Sourcetree
  2. Delete ~/Library/Application\ Support/Sourcetree
  3. Reinstall Sourcetree

Maybe you can just get away with closing Sourcetree and deleting it's application support directory 🤞

I'm having the same issue after updating Mac OS and updating Sourcetree.

@Stefan Müller @Edward Birchall

Hi, everyone.

Could you please share Sourcetree crash report with us?

1. Open Console.app.

2. On the left pane select "Crash Reports"

3. Find the all Sourcetree log entries and export them

4. Upload crash logs to any file storage (like google drive, dropbox, e.t.c) and share link with us.

Could you also please tell me exact macOS version installed on your machine and platform (m1 or intel)?

Thank you so much.

Can I send it per email somewhere? It is an Intel mac.
