How can I disable the sourcetree icon changing at random?

Hi Omar,

This is a temporary update to the logo that will revert after Pride week details on this can be seen in the following Blog post surrounding the initial changes that started back in 2013

However, there are some changes coming to this approach in the future, please check out this tweet thread that went out yesterday discussing the future plans surrounding this topic further:

Also, If you would like to revert the logo change:

On Mac, Update to version 3.2.1 which no longer includes the logo change

On Windows, an update will be coming in the near future or you can manually switch the icon with the following approach:

  • Right click on Sourcetree -> Open file location
  • Right click on shortcut -> Properties
  • Click "Change icon..."
  • Set a new icon of your choosing
