SourceTree wont open

Raja Akula August 10, 2017

Recently, our team that is using Source Tree cannot open sourcetree. I have tried removing the files for SourceTree in AppData/Local and reinstalling SourceTree many times, but both troubleshooting process didnt help.

This occured after, the team, rebooted their laptops. Previously, they hadn't rebooted their laptops, and this was the first time in a while.

I need of help. We need to get this problem resolved asap.

Thank you, in advance.

Hi Raja, can you try doing a clean install following the steps:

  1. Wipe SourceTree preferences
  2. Uninstall SourceTree (if it shows on the App&Features list)
  3. Backup then delete the directory below before proceeding with next step
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local and delete SourceTree & SourceTree-Settings folder
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Atlassian and delete all SourceTree Files/Folder.
  4. Download SourceTree and install it.

If after doing that you're still experiencing issues, please let us know which version of SourceTree and OS are you using.

Regards!
