SourceTree installation is broken

When running the installation and you accept the License agreement, you are then asked to use an existing account, or Go to My Atlassian, I click on the Use an existing account and the log in dialog appears, but to no avail can I log in I constantly get the We've encounted a problem, Please try again in a few minutes.

So for my own tests, I go the the Atlassian web site and try to log in and bang I'm in, so why won't the sourcetree login work, I've reset my password and tried everything but I can't get passed the Atlassian account on the Setup wizard.

Hi Simon, we're already tracking this issue at Installation of SourceTree can not be completed. Our team is already working on it, please keep an eye on that thread for further updates.

Still not fixed. Three years later. 
Brand new computer and nothing works. 
Tried multiple versions and now I'm forced to login into some bitbucket.

Frustrated and now looking for another service.
