Hello
We have a double edged issue with wishing to use SourceTree.
Firstly - is there a method to use Microsoft's System Centre - Software Centre to package a complete (including Hg and Git) installation of Sourcetree for network deployment?
Secondly - the IT guys here have indicated that they are concerned about the "The software license agreement for SourceTree imposes a number of severe restrictions which render it unsuitable for use at NMT."
I'm asking for clarification on this, so more details later.
From my view, is there a way we could automatically register students as uses of SourceTree as an automated part of the installation process?
As I said, more on the license query later.
Cheer
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
You can use Sourcetree's MSI to automate deployment and completely manage versions of our app and its dependencies as described here: https://www.sourcetreeapp.com/enterprise
There is no way to automate the registration process currently (we are aware of the use case for educational labs that want to re-image their labs regularly but don't have an alternative at the moment.)
Please follow up with the remaining questions around licensing for clarification.
Cheers,
Brian Ganninger
