SourceTree constantly asking for login credentials

I have SourceTree running on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1. A dialog window is constantly poping up stating "Login required for : ..." I have my remote set up with ssh. I have searched the net and tried every thing to resolve the issue, but the dialog continues to pop up and seems to not recognize anything I enter.  Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to stop it?

This is happening again (still?) in 2018...

For now, the only work around is to turn of checking the remote for updates, under Tools | Options | General | Repo Settings.

I I have the same issue with SourceTree running on Windows 10
