Source Tree is not working with @ in Username

Chintan Patel September 24, 2017

Source tree is not working, if I use email as username.

  1. Click on Add Account
  2. select Bitbucket server as hosting service
  3. mention username which has @ in username. We are using email as username
  4. Refresh password with correct password

I tried to use encoded html in username %40, but it didn't work

Hi
I'm afraid that is correct. At the moment Sourcetree attempts to verify the credentials you enter against the Bitbucket Server instance. The REST api call used for this does not accept email addresses. You will need to login via the username set in Bitbucket Server. You can find it at https://my.bitbucket.server/profile.

It is an issue we are aware of.

My username set is email address. This was configured in Jira as email in username and In bitbucket server we have use Jira database. :(

So, now same username (which is actually email) needs to be use in source tree.
