How to get complete hash of commit in dark theme (Mac OS)

Marc Reitz
August 29, 2017

Often I need the complete hash of a commit for external documentation. In the light theme I can mark the hash value inside "detail pane", where Commit, Parents, Author, and so on are listed. After marking the hash I can copy it to the clipboard by pressing CMD + C.

If using the dark theme I can't select anything inside the "detail pane".

How can I get the hash values of a commit (short or long one) inside the dark theme?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Marc,

This works the same regardless of theme, it sounds like something else is amiss and the web view is no longer cooperating. That said, you can right-click on any commit in the list and use the "Copy SHA-1 to Clipboard" contextual menu item to accomplish this.
