Hello,

Is Sourcetree still free, even for corporate use? Any restriction on number of users that can use it?

And is there official support for it or?

Thanks

Hi @Christian Castro, and welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Sourcetree is still free, even for corporate use. I think the only difference between the Sourcetree and Sourcetree Enterprise versions is that the latter uses a different installer so that you can "Install, update, and manage Sourcetree at scale in your managed enterprise environment".

As for support, that would be for Atlassian to answer, though you can deduce from the missing answer to your question and the generally low answer rate for Sourcetree Community questions here that Atlassian at least isn't treating Community support for Sourcetree with the same priority as some of their other products.

Hello Steffen,

One of our users sent us a link from an old community forum post regarding license usage where a user posted a question regarding third party benefit. Basically, he posted where he had read the License Agreement for the software and had a question on this:

"3.2. Restrictions. Except as otherwise expressly permitted in this Agreement, you will not: (c) use the Software for the benefit of any third party;"

Can you explain what "use the Software for the benefit of any third party" refers to exactly?

That old post is here:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Sourcetree-questions/Sourcetree-license-commercial-use/qaq-p/1790335

Unfortunately, it never received an update.

Please let us know or let me know who to contact at Atlassian to get an answer on this?

Also, another old community forums post mentions that in order to use Sourcetree, one needs to create a Bitbucket account. Is this still true or?

We would be running Sourcetree in a completely isolated environment so our users would not be able to get to the Bitbucket website.

That old post is here:

Please let us know about this as well.

Thank you
