Can I have multiple repositories point to the same local directory?

I have a separate staging and production repositories but there is only one version of the files locally. SourceTree doesn't allow me to add anew repository in the existing directory. Is there any way around this?

If you are talking about be able to push/pull to different remote copies of the repo, yes, you can do that.  That requires you to configure multiple "remotes".

If you're asking about something else, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do.
