I'm in NYS government.  I would like details as to how the AI (ROVO?) search works.

* Does ROVO = AI enabled Search?

* Does it respect permissions?

* Does the AI incorporate "learned" information outside of our spaces?

* Can the AI be disabled?

* Can the AI Search be siloed to Confluence, a set of spaces in Confluence, etc?

Hi Glen,

Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's great to have you join us. I understand you have questions about Rovo Search.

Atlassian Intelligence Search is integrated in our Premium and Enterprise editions, and enhances the core functionalities of our products.

Rovo Search, on the other hand, is part of the Rovo product and is a stanadalone offering, and provides additional search capabilties across tools. For more information:

Our AI-enabled search respects data permissions, and ensures users only see content they have permission to access. It connects to various tools and platforms to provide relevant answers and insights and does not incorporate learned information outside of the content it's connected to.

The AI capabilities can be disabled. See the following pages:

Finally, you can use Atlassian Intelligence or Rovo Search to search specific content on the fly, for example:

Rovo will index the entire site at the moment, but we've been looking into the possibility of defining by site which content should be indexed via the following feature request:

  • ROVO-28 Flexible Rovo Scope definition

You're welcome to add your vote and leave feedback for our product team about your particular use case.

In the meantime, if you have any further questions I recommend having your administrator raise a ticket with our Enterprise Support Team. Community is best for generic questions that you're okay with the general public seeing, but questions involving your company's privacy and security should be addressed by our support teams.

Thank you,
