why are there two of the same person under people in confluence?

One of our users is showing up on the people page twice with the same email, but is under 'users' only once.

Is there a way to delete one of the pictures that is showing up twice under 'people'? Screenshot below.

Depends on your user directory setup, but moving directories around can cause this. There's several places that it might be picking up the error from, but have a look through

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Duplicates+in+the+People+Directory

Which generally fixes it.
