hide meeting minutes in page tree

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configure the Sidebar

When I add meeting notes to a space, I find that meeting notes now shows up both as a space shortcut and in the page tree. Same thing for retrospectives, product requirements. How can I set these up so they just show as Space Shortcuts? See below for example.

Hi Patrick,

The shortcuts are designed to give quick access to pages that are already in the page tree.  But it is possible to hide the actual page if that is what you need to do.

If you go to Space Tools > Reorder Pages and then drag the Meeting notes page to the root of the space, so it is no longer a child of the home page.  This will prevent the page appearing in the sidebar, but it will still be accessible via search or via the shortcut on the sidebar.
