We try to upgrade Confluence 2.5.1 to the latest version.

If I understand your guides, we have to upgrade to version 2.7.4.

And from there upgrade to 4.3.1.

Is this correct?

Are there any guides leading me step by step to the latest version from 2.5.1 ?

Based on experience, I think the best solution would be to go through stages as highlighted above: 2.5 -> 2.7 -> 3.5 -> 4.x

Yes, it's tiring but it's safer :)

You almost certainly need to go through version 3.5 as well. You might be able to do 2.5 to 3.5 directly (without 2.7), but I'd still plan on 2.5 -> 2.7 -> 3.5 -> 4.x
