How to create pages from a database

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Creating Beautiful and Dynamic Pages

I, as an ordinary user, have an excel file which includes hundreds of records of assets information. I would want to use a template in Confluence into which I could use this aforementioned database (CSV could be fed), and then generate hundreds pages each contains appropriate information of those particular assets. Is it possible? if yes what steps should be taken please? Thank you and best.

Hi Hossein Oliabak

We have couple of solutions for you:

  • ConfiDoc. Include SQL, XML, JSON, CSV - helps to include the data from various sources, including the CSV stored as attachment or it can be even on a different service (server)
  • ConfiForms. Data Forms & Workflows - helps to build a simple form based application which can manage your data from CSV files, create the pages from this data using your templates, and many other features, like: notifications when the data has been chnaged, integerations with other systems and so on.

Thank you for your support and reply to my inquiry,

These addons are really helpful, but I don't have admin permission. However, thank you for your kind support.
