Exporting Confluence content to Web Help

Francis March 20, 2013

Is it possible to export Confluence content to a conventional Web-based Help system such as the following: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/73/69f5c755bb11d189680000e829fbbd/frameset.htm. Our requirement is to integrate this Help with our product, so that on pressing F1 for example, the integrated Help appears. This is useful when our customers who work in environments that restrict Internet connectivity (and hence no access to documentation hosted on our Web site).

The default HTML output from Confluence appears to be a bunch of flat files that aren't integrated to each other. We'd like a persistent tree structure-based navigation pane on the left with an integrated search functionality and breadcrumb navigation.

Thanks a lot,
Francis

I've been looking into that as well. K15t an add-on that can export to Eclipse Help, another that can export to DocBook, which can be transformed to web help using open-source tools, and another than can do better HTML than you get with the built-in command. No web help per se, though, so far as I've been able to determine. http://www.k15t.com/software
