Convert Confluence 3.0.2 to 3.5 oracle database

Alihesam Azari January 16, 2013

Hi,

We had confluence 3.0.2 running on oracle 10g and now we want to upgrade to 3.5 running on oracle 11gR2.

When we scratcj installed 3.5 there are some differences in the database tables, 3.5 has some more new tables and 3.0.2 has some tables which the new version doesn't have.

I was wondering about this conversion process.. any documents or explantion about how to export the old data to the new database?!! any comments is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

The process is built into the application, so there's not a huge amount of documentation about it. Most people just need to know "point a newer Confluence at an old database and it will do the conversion for you", and the handful who need to know more work mostly for Atlassian.

Have a look through https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF35/Upgrading+Confluence
