We have multiple Jira service desk projects that require dynamic assignation of access for our customers.
In order to achieve this we're using Atlassian accounts for our customers, so we can connect them to groups, which provides browse permissions for the specific JSM project.
Now because they are Atlassian accounts, we can create them for our customers, but not manage them. We create the users via API. this means only an email address can be provided. Customer sets his own display name, which causes a lot of confusing or unclear accounts for our service desk agents.
We would like to be able to set an Alias display name for atlassian users in our organization only. This way we can decide on how users are visualised in our projects.
