is there a maximum size for an excell file?

hello

I have an excell file attached in confluence with 28 versions.

the 29th generated an issue when I would like view it:

viewfile: com.benryan.conversion.ConversionException: com.benryan.conversion.ConversionException: Cannot convert spreadsheet, the number of cells: 2097024 is greater than the maximum allowed cells: 100000

or when I would like to edit a new version:

excell returns an error: a part of the file is unreadable, and it displays a wrong file.

is there something who limits the attached excell file size?

my file is 1.3Mo. The error arrives after i added a new column.

regards
