Restricting answers permission in Question for Confluence add-on

Hi,

We wanted to use the question for the Confluence add-on, but we are interested that only people that are considered by the company as experts will be allowed to answer on certain topics.

As I understood from the documentation every user who has permission to ask a question can also answer a question. Is there a way to define the in each topic the users/ groups how are allowed to answer the questions?

@Tami Dubi at this time, Questions for Confluence does not have any way to distinguish between SME's and topics. The app is intended to help crowdsource answers from your community and award those that answer correctly and often, which in turn designates them as SME's in the topics and areas they answer. Since this is meant as a 'community participation" application rather than a Q&A application, it remains open to all for asking and answering.

I am not familiar with other Q&A related Marketplace apps, so I don't have a recommendation for one that can accomplish what you are looking for.

Hi @Tami Dubi

As I have seen there is no restriction to set the permission to only answer the questions

It's either view or add!!

Thanks,
Pramodh

That is what I read as well. Hoping there is a way to implement answers to the predefined employee. Organizations are not democracies. We do have predefined specialists and not everyone should answer questions especially regarding legal and regulatory aspects.
