Wondering what a slack channel is and also wanted to know how you would get notified of P1 or P2 priorities when (in the example) she had it listed as greater than P3 and datadog in the Jira Service Desk spot? thanks!

Opsgenie has a Slack integration to send messages to channels when an alert is created, along with updates such as when it's ack'd or close, when a note is added, etc.
Too have a Slack channel trigger when an alert is created with a P1 or P2 priority, you'd want a configuration like this:
Note that if the Slack integration is global - meaning it is not assigned to a team - then it would apply to ALL alerts in your Opsgenie.
If the Slack integration is assigned to a team, then alerts ONLY sent to the same team would be able to apply to the Slack integration
