Switching between teams

Jiri Bocan November 10, 2024

Hello, Opsgenie community,

This is rather a feature suggestion.

I am a member of multiple teams. Hence I see all alerts and incidents from all those in a single board as URIs like https://absa.app.eu.opsgenie.com/alert/list or https://absa.app.eu.opsgenie.com/incident/list are not / cannot be made (?) team specific.

Let's say I only want to see alerts/incidents from a certain team for most of the time. It would be great to be able to choose, e.g., in my profile settings, which teams to follow, see in the dashboard without losing membership.

I also do not want to use the alert filter as it does not work correctly and does not provide results in an expected format.

Thanks.

Hey @Jiri Bocan ,

This is Shashwat from Opsgenie and here to help! :)

You can use the search query on the Alerts page as (responders: "insert-team name-here") to see only alerts for which the team is added as a responder.

Similarly, you can use the query on the Incidents page as (responders: "insert-team name-here") to see only those Incident for which the team is added as a responder.

Hello, Shashwat,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, you are right, but this is not a permanent solution. The search query does not become a part of URI. And I don't want to re-type this every time I update the page (at the closed alerts/incidents do not vanish automatically), i.e., several times a day. The search query form (accessed via the three dots button to the right from search query field, Search and Save button) seems not working properly either:

I am seeking a more stable solution.

Thanks,

jiri

Hi @Jiri Bocan ,

May I know what happens when you save the search query on the Web UI?

Could you please elaborate a bit more on what's not working properly when saving the search query?

Best,
Shashwat

Hello, Shashwat,

OK, I tried to save the query and it stays in place even when using another browser or mobile app. Happy with this. Thank you.

All the best,

jiri
