Opsgenie data residency, GDPR compliance?

In this link Opsgenie data residency | Opsgenie | Atlassian Support it is explained that after the integration of OpsGenie with Atlassian, some personal data may be stored in the US, even if the customer has selected EU as the location of their data.

This is not compliance with the GDPR, I would like someone to clarify if this is the case because it would be a stopper to hire this service.
