Opsgenie - Not an option when selecting excepted apps on Android DND (Pixel 5)

Hello,

I am attempting to add Opsgenie as a Do Not Distrub excepted application on my Android Pixel 5. Opsgenie doesn't show as an option in the settings list. Thoughts? I had installed Opsgenie and rebooted the phone afterwards.

Opsgenie might not appear in your Android Pixel 5’s Do Not Disturb exceptions list because Android may not always recognize it as an app that can override DND settings. This behavior is not directly addressed in our mobile app troubleshooting guide, but similar issues have been reported by other users.

Please start by checking the notification permissions for Opsgenie. Open your phone’s Settings, then go to Apps and select Opsgenie. Under Notifications, make sure that all notification categories are enabled. This ensures that the app is allowed to send notifications that could bypass DND.

Next, try manually adding Opsgenie to the DND exceptions. Navigate to Settings, then Sound & Vibration, and select Do Not Disturb. In the Apps section, tap “Add apps” and see if Opsgenie is listed. If it isn’t, this might be due to Android not recognizing it as an app that can override DND by default.

Another step you can take is to open the Opsgenie app and review its in-app notification settings. Sometimes, adjusting these settings within the app can help Android properly register its notification privileges. If the issue persists, uninstalling and reinstalling the Opsgenie app may reset its permissions. After uninstalling, restart your phone and then reinstall the app from the Google Play Store.
