Hello,
We want to integrate an automatic flow with opsgenie, that will allow us to update Status page faster.
The flow:
1. Opsgenie triggered due to services overload/ network error/ downtime
2. The relevant engineer receive a phone call
3. At the same time we receive Slack notification that there is an incident going on
4. All the members of Slack will be able to review the case
5. If decided that this is indeed an incident that needs to be updated on the status page for our customer.
6. We can trigger an automatic flow from Slack to Status page, so then anyone can do it from their phone.
Couldn't understand so far from documentation how to build such a flow, or if we need an additional system.
Thanks
Hi @Ira ,
Statuspage can be updated from Opsgenie, without the need for any other systems.
First, you would need to add a Statuspage integration in Opsgenie and add your Statuspage API key and page ID so that Opsgenie can send actions to Statuspage:
Then you can use the action mapping feature for "For other Opsgenie alerts" which will allow you to automatically create Statuspage incidents directly from Opsgenie, based on specified actions, such as adding a specific tag to an Opsgenie alert:
Yes, you can execute almost all the same actions from Slack that you can directly in Opsgenie, which would have the same end result of sending those actions to Statuspage to create or update an SP incident. Once you add the Slack integration, you can use either the Slack buttons or the /genie commands to execute actions:
