Hi,

Is there a way to set up automatic notifications to team members when the On-Call Schedule is incomplete for the upcoming week?

Thanks!

Martin

Hi @Martin Boehme

Unfortunately, there's no way to alert based on gaps in coverage in a given schedule. But you do have a few options for exporting the schedule to other tools to increase the visibility of it:

https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/on-call-schedules-and-rotations#export-schedules-as-icalendar

Alternatively, you could use some type of scheduled task/script to call the get-on-calls API endpoint and, if empty, create an alert to notify the owner of the schedule:

https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/who-is-on-call-api#get-on-calls

This use case is currently part of feature request we have open too. So I'll get a +1 on it for you in the meantime.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Robert

Thanks for you helpful answer!

Is this feature request tracked publicly? If so, could you please provide me a link?

Martin

@Martin Boehme Unfortunately Opsgenie doesn't have public request tracking at this point, but you (or anyone else who sees this :) ) can check in on the status with support by referencing TARDIS-2857.
